Google offers no public API for AI Overviews, so Discoverable reads the public search page itself and records the exact pages the summary cites. How Google AI Overviews visibility tracking works
AI Overviews and AI Mode increasingly answer queries before the classic results, so appearing in them matters. Google provides no public API for either, so the only way to read one is to read the public search page, and what that returns is the logged-out result for a query at a given locale rather than any one person's own result. Discoverable collects AI Overview, records which pages it cites, and shows it on its own tile. It is held out of your headline score on purpose: the score is an average across engines, so admitting a new one would move every score for a coverage reason. Google renders no overview at all for some queries, which is a finding about the query and is reported as coverage rather than as a zero.
